Expertly Crafted Editorial + Layout Design for Digital + Print Publications

Give your books, magazines and reports the creative design and attention to detail they deserve.

Good design transforms words and images into publications people can’t put down. With extensive knowledge of typesetting and layout design, you can rely on me to effectively communicate information in the most engaging, beautiful way.

My approach is detail-oriented and focuses on creating visually appealing, informative layouts that are easy to read and understand. Whether I’m working with your existing brand identity or providing creative direction from initial concept to final proof, I’ll contribute ideas to make your publication stand out.

As well as problem-solving any layout issues, I’m able to organise and manage a large amount of content on your behalf. Thousands of words and countless images won’t phase me! Meeting deadlines is a priority for me, so you can be sure your project will be delivered on time.

  • This service is ideal for established creative businesses and independent publishers seeking beautiful, professional layout and editorial design that reflects the quality of their brand.

You might be a gallery in need of an exhibition guide, a craft brand looking to design an instruction booklet, or a cultural institution with a monthly periodical that’s ready for a whole new look. I also work with independent publishers, specialising in monographs, detailed practical guides, and inspiring books for makers. I can provide creative direction for your project or work with your existing Brand Guidelines.

    • Creative direction, mood board + sample page design

    • Design development + refinement

The design process includes two rounds of revisions for design and layout changes before a final round of proofreading and copy edits.

  • When we reach the end of the design process, I’ll provide everything you need to get your book, magazine or report printed or published digitally.

This might consist of print-ready PDFs that conform to the standards required by you (or your printer). Alternatively, you’ll receive interactive PDFs including hyperlinks and embedded navigation. I can also create accessible PDFs optimised for screen readers. If needed, I can supply packaged InDesign files too.Your final files will cover absolutely everything needed for both print and digital outputs, including SVG, EPS, PDF, PNG and Jpeg  file types.

  • There are a range of variables involved with print design projects including number of pages, overall page size, and the type of content your publication includes. For this reason, I will always provide an individual quote.
