About the Book

Machine knitting offers rich possibilities for texture, pattern and material, extending beyond garments into soft furnishings and statement interior pieces. By combining stitch structures with varied yarn choices, Structural Stitches introduces both familiar and innovative techniques that push the boundaries of knit.

Commissioned by The Crowood Press, Structural Stitches is a comprehensive guide to creating form and texture through machine knitting.

I typeset the book from initial samples through to final layouts, carefully balancing detailed instructional copy with inspirational photography and clear, accessible charts. The book is set in Myriad, Museo Sans and Warnock, and features a considered palette of four colours across its 192 pages.
